To most the word Adversity can be a scary but the truth is, it is reality. In some form one way or another at one point of life, we will face things that just seems too hard to get out of. Feels like we are in a dark pit and there is no way for escape.
This can come in a form of a illness, lost of a loved one, lost of a job, marital difficulties, or anything else that seems to tremble your heart into discouragement and fear.
Years ago when I had to face a time in my life that felt like I had nothing but Adversity surrounding me, everyone around me thought I would run away from God but to the contrary, I ran closer to God. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. It gave me strength and great understanding for Gods purpose and will on my life.

Adversity. I want to wrap up what we have learned in how to handle adversity, to put this together in one big nutshell. Adversity can and should be used as a time of spiritual growth. Let your faith in God and His Word grow your roots strong.
That word, adversity, can either give us a ‘chill’ or lead us to think we have done something wrong for this difficult time to be upon us. It certainly does not give us warm and fuzzy feelings.
There are other words for adversity that we often use such as difficult times, trials, troubles, tribulations, or persecution. The Collins Canadian Dictionary defines adversity as affliction or hardship. I would say the above alternate words are also suitable, wouldn’t you?
If you’ve been following me for the past few months you would have read at least six posts dealing with this subject. That is because my husband and I had been in the middle of an 18-month difficult time. While the difficulties existed and were designed to throw us off our stand….
