There is over six hundred prayers recorded in the bible.
Jesus Christ is mentioned twenty five times in reference to Him praying to the Father. He also gives the model prayer to the disciples; The Lords Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13).
Paul, the Apostle is mentioned in the subject of prayer over forty times.
Prayer is known as the most intimate way to connect with God.
It is a time that we speak with Him. We cry to Him. We sing praises to Him. It is a time we lay before Him to search our hearts, to bring us to repentance, deliverance, and communion. To request healing. To bring forth petitions for families, communities, nations, and anything else in our heart for His people and land.
Prayer is not to be taken lightly as a light to the world (Matthew 5:14-16). If you truly want to develop a unshakeable, undeniable relationship with God, developing a consistent prayer life is one of the most important steps to it.

Relationships:
We all have relationships in our lives that need and require God’s leading. It is important we give every relationship (marriage, friendships, co-workers, family ties,…) over to God. Having Him covering us keeps relationships healthy.
Father God, Thank you for all the loved ones in my life and for every person that makes a difference in my life. Keep me in alignment with those who are healthy for me and my walk with you. Whoever is in my life that is not healthy for me, please bring peace to that relationship and teach me how to be the light to them. Please teach me how to grow in my relationships with ____________________.
Home:
Praying for our home is something I do once a month. I call this Spiritually Cleaning my home. This is good to do to ensure peace, calmness, and joy to take place within the home.
Father God, Thank you for our home. May it always be a place of peace, comfort, and calmness to whomever may enter here. May Your presence be here and may joy be the focus in every room. Whatever is not of You within the walls of this home, we command for it be gone. May no ___________, _________, ___________ take place in our home no longer.
Workplace:
I am a stay at home mom so I pray for my husband’s workplace regularly. Our godly responsibility is to pray for the ones in authoritative positions and for one’s surrounding us in our daily lives. Pray for all of whom the holy spirit leads you to pray for in your (or your spouse) workplace. You may never know their needs but God does.
Father God, I thank you for the opportunity to work within the walls of ____(company)_______. Lord, bless this company with godly leadership. With men and women of godly wisdom. I pray You bless this place with peace and that teamwork is consistent throughout the company. Lord, please help myself to be an living example of Christ to those I work with. Please help my co-workers in the area of ___________________.
Ministry:
Whether we are the builder or a helper to building a ministry, we should always pray for the will of God to be done. For the Glory of God to be shown, for the leadership to be in accordance, and for the team of ministry to be edifying, supportive, and helpmates.
Father God, thank You for using me as a vessel to build a ministry that glorifies You and You only. May I become obedient in every area that serves to this ministry. Keep my mind, heart, and spirit aligned with Your will. May myself and every person I work with in ministry remain humble, supportive, and servants unto You. Lord, lead us into maturity so the ministry of ______________ always exemplify your will.
Church:
We are the church as a living vessel but we also partake in a sanctuary as the church. In both manners, we should be praying for the church and as us being representation of the church.
Dear Father God, I pray that we as the church have a deep desire to walk as Christ walked. May we desire only what is good in Your sight. May we be a representation of the bible, not what we think Christianity ought to be. I pray ur relationship with You, shine so bright that others around us can not see anything but Your presence. Please help me grow in the area of ____________ so I may be in accordance with the church. Thank You Lord for the place of worship and for the gathering of Your people. May I always be in alignment with our home church and give only good tidings.
Discipleship:
Discipleship is done through example we give as a Christian. Pray that you and your family shines as a light to the world.
Dear Father God, Thank you for biblical examples of disciples such as Paul, Luke, James, and many more. May I study the word, receive it, and make it into a lifestyle. May I spread the word of God to the end of the world. Teach me Lord what true discipleship is. Mature me in areas where I need to become bold and free in spreading the gospel. Thank you for the opportunity to speak the words of the bible. Give me insight in _______________, _______________, _____________ so I may gain understanding to discipling.
Purpose:
One of the most important things I have realized about our purpose is that our sole purpose in life is to live for God. Prayer keeps us intimately close to that purpose. It is good to continuously pray the Lord keeps your eyes open to your ultimate purpose.
Father God, I pray for a deep understanding and connection to Your word that says: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 (ESV) Lord, teach me how to walk in Your good works in my life which does not just affect me but also all those that are around me. I also pray Proverbs 19:21 (ESV): “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”, over my life. I give the plans of _____________ over to You. May all that I do in my life be to glorify You.
Generations:
This is one of my favorites to pray for. Praying for our future generations opens our eyes to what we need to do now to bring success to the generation that is rising up. Pray the Lord teaches you and equips you well to rise up warriors for the future.
Father God, I pray for my children, for my children’s children. I pray for the generation that is rising in today’s society. May they rise up as a army for the Lord. That they may desire to serve You and only You. Take the spirit of idolatry out of this generation. May they only look up You as Your word says that they will be a generation created to praise you (Psalm 102:18). Lord, help our children in this world to intimately know you and to become ___________, _____________, ________________.
Transformation:
Asking the Lord for transformation of our hearts and situations will show us the roots of the things that we need to war against and for.
Father God, I ask that you transform my heart and spirit so I will walk in accordance with Your will. Gracefully, I ask that anything that is in me and in my life that is not in alignment with Your word to be transformed to good immediately. I repent for anything You have asked me to change but i did not. I specifically request that you transform ______________, ___________________, ________________ in my life.
Against the enemy:
This subject should not be overlooked. The word teaches us the truth, which is, the devil is real. “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 ESV. It is vital for our walk as Christians to be ready and constantly in prayer to war against the enemy.
Father God, I pray I become diligent in prayer. May I not cease or decline in my position to pray against the enemy. Lord, teach me how to remain humble as a prayer warrior but also knowledgeable in my authority as a prayer warrior. Lord, I ask that you enhance my spiritual eyes and ears so I know what roots to pray against when needed. Equip me in areas ____________, ___________, ____________ as a servant of prayer unto You.
Bondages:
Just like the enemy, bondages are many times overlooked. They are also real. Spiritual bondages are overwhelming and can become bigger the longer we take to conquer them. This is something we can overcome by seeking God with renewing our minds. Most common spiritual bondages comes in the form of depression, anger, addiction, self pity, and much more.
Father God, I ask that You set me from _________________ and of anything else that I have not come to realize is a real bondage in my life. Bring me to a place of understanding of when a bondage is taking control so I can use my authority in prayer and seek for deliverance from You immediately. Thank you Lord for you help during every cry to You! Thank you for the freedom from ______________.
Future:
As humans we naturally set plans and goals for the future, which is what we ought to do. This keeps us motivated, active, successful and so much more. But how many of us are making future plans based on Gods plans? Are we inquiring God first? Do we trust Him with our future? Let’s pray that we would trust Him in all areas of our lives now and in the future.
Father God, I pray I continuously walk in the leading of the Holy Spirit the now and in the future. May I walk in full confidence that the plans You have for me is to bring hope and a good future. (Jeremiah 29:11). Lord, I hand the plans of ________________ over to You! May I not try to lead it but may You be the leader of all plans of my life.
