Yay, another year of Christmas shopping! I am one to start shopping in September. My husband and I come from large families and with us having our own large family, FIVE kids! Starting early is super important to me.
My husband lets me do majority of the Christmas shopping (yay me) but truth is, that is only because he becomes obsessed with Christmas lights. Nothing else really seems to matter during the season. (laughing emoji please).
Outside Christmas lights covering every inch of our yard is not my thing so I guess it works out. While he is outside nailing lights to our bushes and home, I am out in the cold with a hot venti peppermint mocha shopping for our families.
But I have to admit something, I am getting so tired of that. I much prefer shopping online now.
For two reasons.
First reason: didn’t you notice in the first paragraph I said, we have five kids?!
There is no way I want to drag around five kids in the cold. Staying up late at night to go while they sleep is too tiring for me now. About two years ago after I had just turned thirty, I was standing in a crowded Target at 11:30pm thinking, “What am I doing??!” I need sleep!
Second reason: After becoming a Blogger; I have learned the importance of supporting small shops. I have gained so much respect for men and women that is chasing their dreams, listening to their targeted shoppers, providing the wants but also standing by their visions. Hands down, I probably check out small shops for special presents first before checking anywhere else now.
Like today for instance; I ordered a shirt for my sister in law from a small shop owner on Etsy. Just three days ago, she went into early labor with her twin girls. The girls will be in NICU till they a week before Christmas. That is eleven weeks away!
I woke up wanting to get her something to encourage her and to wear her pride as a mama of twins. So, I got online and found this perfect shirt from The Little Mama Shirt Shop!
There is no way I would’ve found this in stores. I am so excited to give this shirt!
Also, with visiting my SIL in the hospital the past week, I haven’t left the house without my new message bar necklace from Thoughtful Impressions that says,” God First”. This has been so important for me to wear while visiting her. It brings comfort that I am wearing something that can give out faith.
Plus as you can see from my selfie, it is a simple timeless piece. Goes with any outfit! That’s what matters the most, right?!
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I am that person that wants to give those special gifts. Gifts that matter, that makes a statement, and a gift they will be able to use.
Save your time, cut the lines, stay warm…. Click on these gifts and start shopping. Instead of leaving the house while hubby is on top of roof nailing more lights, put on the hallmark channel, get a hot cup of cocoa, and start adding to the shopping cart. Boom more time for cheesy love stories that somehow always grabs our attention till the end.
Which reminds me, check out these Hallmark Christmas tees, could you have found these in a store?! They are hilarious and so much fun to wear or give.

Vincero Watch for Men and Women– This one I just got in the mail today and I was absolutely stunned by the beauty of this rose gold mesh watch. The size of the face is perfect! Ok, well at least two or three, I can just tell my hubby, he got them for me for Christmas! (Photo credit to Little Mama Etsy Shop listings)
Fun Gifts:
FabFitFun Boxes: This is something I am considering for my oldest daughter this year for Christmas but I am sure this would actually be a great gift for my mom, mother in law, and sisters. This is pretty much a women’s dream goodie bag! The winter boxes are soon to come! $200 valued box for only $49.99.
Golden Girls Monopoly – I don’t know why but every time I see a board game or puzzle of The Golden Girls, I start laughing and naming all the besties that would burst into laughter with me for getting this as a gift. Obviously a good kind of laugh. Like you totally get me and we are so doing a game night type of laugh. Which friends of yours’s would this gift be perfect for?
Essential Oil Diffuser / Humidifier: I am not yet into Essentials Oils but I am very much wanting to get one of there Diffusers. For two reasons, I LOVE candles in my home but due to toddlers, I can not use them as often as I would like. Secondly, humidifiers are such a soothing aroma to me. So, this has got to be the perfect combo for me or anyone else that loves the best of both worlds.
Traveling Backpack – One thing I have definitely this year is how much having a backpack ready in my storage closet for last minute trips can be very beneficial. I think anyone that travels at least three times a year, should have a good traveling bag besides from your luggage. Buy Here.
Books, Books, Books:
Radical by David Platt: By far one of the best books I have read about Discipleship. I have read this book about four times in three years. I highly recommend this book for anyone passionate being for Jesus Christ and discipleship.
Preaching by Timothy Keller: This book is on my Christmas List. I read a chapter of it from someone’s couch table one day and Oh My Goodness, I left that home wishing I snuck it away with me. So good. Babe, if you are reading this post, I want this book! I got to finish reading it!
By His Grace We Book: Ok, I know, this is my book but I had to sneak this in somewhere. (Big cheesy smile emoji). This book is for the New Christian Blogger that desires to establish themselves as a Christian writer. You can check out all that is included here.
2019 Planner: After Christmas the next step is for everyone to get ready for a brand new year. Where they make plans for the future and become determined to no longer waste time. Planners is probably one of the most bought product in the month of January and February because becoming more organized is one of the top resolution of every year. What a better gift to give to someone that has this has their resolution.
McArthur Study Bible: Study bibles are great gifts. I love all my different studies bibles. Some were gifted to me and I am so glad they were. It truly was a gift of inspiring me to dive into studying the word of God, not just reading it.
Power of Praying Wife: This is a must for any wife. Actually for any future wife too. My cousin is single but desires to marry one day so she read the book and had a huge transformation as a women of God. It can be revolutionary for you if you apply the prayers in your daily life. Stormie Omartian also has the Power of Praying Mother, Praying for your Adult Children, and of Woman.
Journaling – I love journaling. Even before becoming a blogger or even knowing what a blogger was, I always knew writing prayers in a journal since I was a young teen was the gift God gave me. It was my unity with Him through all my years of life since that first journal entry. Whenever I give a journal to someone, it is personable to me.
I know there is much more I would recommend for Christmas presents but I wanted to add what I know I have personally fallen in love with myself or truly hope to get this season. Not that my opinion of gifts really matter, but I know ideas can be very helpful during this time of the year. Sometimes, coming up with even simple ideas can be hard for us when we are buying for large families.
