When I started serving God, my eyes were opened in all the areas that God wanted to grow me in. I began to see and feel where God was leading me and wanted me to be trained in.
Training from God is a constant process and God is constantly leading me in all areas of my life.
Training from God is a lifelong assignment. God desires us to continually work towards the goal of living in His glory.
One day I came to a revelation the gifts the Lord has entrusted us with has no age limitations in the Word of God.
Jesus told the little children to come to Him. He used them as an example to adults of how they should run to Him.
But Jesus called for them, saying, “Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Luke 18:16
Josiah was eight years old when he reigned as a king and loved God with all His heart.
Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. 2 Chronicles 34:1
The psalmist reminds us several times that God created us in our mother’s womb. He knitted us together for His glory!
For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13
The Lord knew us and formed us, which means when He placed those gifts and plans in us in our mother’s womb for each and every one of us.
This revelation did not come to a better understanding till my oldest two children were a little older.
With His guidance, the Lord gave me instruction. He began teaching me how to minister to my children about identifying their spiritual gifts.
My eyes opened to their individual anointing as they would volunteer in some areas at the church. My ears listened to their voices while praying with the family. I heard passion in some areas they would pray greater than the other. My heart was tendered for moments that my children would seek godly help and counsel in situations they did not understand in this world.
The opportunities inspired me to seek the Lord. I inquired to Him of how to encourage them in their gifts. I wanted to be able to teach them to use the gifts and to give me discernment of when and how to speak to them about the gifts.
Gifts of praise, helps, discernment, perseverance. Are all gifts my children have.
My desire to know how to encourage my daughter to use her voice of praise and worship for the Lord all the days of her life.
I yearn to teach my eldest daughter what the gift of discernment is. May I be able righteously relay how the Lord entrusts her with it to use for a great anointing.
Blessed am I to keep learning how to encourage my son in volunteering for ministry because of his servant like attitude.
I am humbled to watch my youngest to have a warrior like perseverance as he endured all that he has so far.
My hope is to do all of this and more. But I can only do as the Lord directs me to do and as much as He wants me to do. Because my children are ultimately His children and will be following His plans not mine.
His will is what has to be done for our children to grow and become enriched in their spiritual gifts.
When I look at my children I see what the Lord has implanted in them for their lives. It brings me to prayer for strength, courage, and humbleness for them and for me as a mother.
I remind my children often that they are children of God. That the anointing they have are gifts that the Lord wants them to use. He created them for His purpose. The gifts within us is not of our own will but the will of God.
I am a blessed mother that have the honor to watch each of my children grow with a spiritual gift. But I did not get there overnight of noticing and receiving them. It took a lot of prayer for the Lord to open my spiritual eyes to look upon my children. I had to humble myself to pause and listen to the warriors that were being raised before me. Also, had to learn how to listen and let them finish speaking.

Share on XAs we grow in our own God given gifts, we have to understand that this includes us learning how to recognize His works. Once we do that we can begin building up for the next generation.
I do not know the entirety of God’s plan for our children, their gifts, and when they may be used but I am confident in this one thing for each of our children; they do have gifts because of God and God will use each and everyone of them for His good and purpose.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28
Here are 5 verses that I look to as a reminder to grow in my own spiritual gifts and to encourage my children’s spiritual gifts. The verses also remind me of how important it is to the body of Christ to grow and mature in our gifts for His Glory!
-
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Deuteronomy 6:7

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching – the one who exhorts, in his exhortation – the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal – the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:6-8
-
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 peter 4 10:11

As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything. Ecclesiastes 11:5
-
The LORD called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother He named Me. Isaiah 79:1
My hope for you today as a mother is that you study these verses and pray with your children. Pray for your own spiritual gifts to be revealed and for their spiritual gifts.
