Did you know only 6% of bloggers are full time bloggers? Meaning they treat their blog as their main source of income and give forty plus hours a week.
If you are a blogger, you know the community of blogging is massive by numbers. So to think of 6% when more than 50% is trying to pursue this is small by number.
One of the most common reasons why full time blogging is not yet achieved by some is the TIME. The time to productively produce the content. The time to reflect on needed content, to create graphics, a brand, and to build relationships.
There is so much behind the scenes as a blogger, let alone creating a full time ministry and business.
After much time in my Facebook group with other full time Christian Writers/Bloggers, I have learn batching our work has been the most effective.
By no means am I a planner type of girl. Trust me, I have bought more planners than I can count and it just does not work for me. No offense to anyone that it does work for but planners was never something that got me out of feeling stuck in the mess
It wasn’t till the end of my first year of building Married by His Grace, the By His Grace Bloggers group, and creating a Book, that I realized living on survival mode is not working. I will never forget the moment the Lord told me, “This is your opportunity to grow.”
That spoke to me because it placed an urgency in me to sort things out. On the outside it looked like I was already growing. The blog and group were both flourishing, the eBook was not even released and already getting pre sales but we can take away our growth but not being able to see it through the mess.
If we are constantly striving to keep up, it will be all that our mind can focus on. Not what is next, what’s new, or what’s happening right in front of us. Including with our families.
It was time to get serious!
I learned what block scheduling was and I fell in love with it….you can read more about it here.
I organized my goals, prioritized them, put them into categories so my goals was not just on a dump brain page, and I finally put my passwords in order. Are you like me? If you can’t find the password then you just leave the site and deal with it later.

I can so relate to this! In fact recently, I dedicated a few days to just organizing my computer files, binders, to do lists, etc. so I can streamline my processes. I’m making checklists for my major “I do this task all the time” tasks so that I don’t reinvent the wheel all the time for the same exact thing. I’m praying it will work. After I do this and create my content calendars, batching my work will be so much easier. Thanks for this post…very helpful.

Time blocking has been life saving for me, and time completely away from the phone and social media. Uninterrupted time with family is so important.
