The Perfect Mom Gifts.
I am a mom to five…yes… five kids. I am a full time wife, stay at home mama, and I maintain a blog full time, along with an occasional meet up with blogging buddies and gals for ministry. So, my lists of what mama would love is not always extravagant. You will not find me asking for perfume, expensive jewelry (I don’t care for the price of jewelry, as long as it has meaning), or for any brand name accessory any longer.
Once I became a stay at home mom, full time blogger/writer my wants shifted. Not that the extravagant things still do not give me a twinkle in my eye from time to time but when it comes to my birthday, mother’s day, Christmas, or anniversary; I literally chuckle about the simple things in life that brings absolute joy to me.
Most of the gifts I mention in the post are ones that I probably day dream about throughout the whole year which means your mom, will most likely not get over the trend of the gift by the end of the season.
These are gifts that your mom or yourself can use quite often or set up to display as a beautiful memory.

Hand Painted Bibles:
Personally, this is what I am highly considering to get myself. Personal hand painted bibles has caught my attention immensely lately. I am a HUGE fan of Hosanna Revival bibles and have mentioned them here on the blog before but recently I found In His Name Co. on Instagram and I can not stop drooling over the beauties. If you were to buy one, you got to check out both shops before deciding.

This gift will bring the nostalgic feeling to you and your mom. Can you just imagine how much your mother would love a sketch of you as a baby hanging up in her favorite spot of the house. This is perfect for the modern bohemian chic mom. One day, I will have all my five babies hanging on hallway wall, just watch! Go to The Birth Poster site to find different sketching’s you can choose from. All sketches are personalized with name and to represent the birth length.

Instant Pot:
Is it just me or are these Instant Pot a answered prayer? These are like crock pots on steroids and everyone that has one does not know how they use to cook before it. These are perfect for nights to prep food for the week, to cook a dinner within 15 minutes, and to make your favorite soup. There are three different sizes so definitely check out which one will be a good size for your mom. (Click on image for link)
Amazon gift card:
My mother is bible study person. She often teaches within our church which means she is constantly studying. Her favorite gift for any occasion are books. She is very picky about the choice of books, as she should be as a Christian based teacher, so Amazon Gift Cards has been a lifesaver for me when she is looking for more books and studying tools.
Mom Life Shirts:
With five kids I literally have no time to spend on getting dress these days. I am officially the jeans and t-shirt kind of gal but there is no reason why it can not be cute! I love, love, my Christian based and Mom Life Inspired Shirts. It is a style no one can go wrong with. There are many apparel companies I follow in Instagram, Facebook, Esty, and through Pinterest so it is pretty hard to narrow my favorites but here is a post I found months ago with Mom Life Inspired shirts. I now have about 80% of them on my wish list.

These are so much fun to play with for moms with their kids, to add funny quotes to their work place, or to hang scriptures in the home. Any mom would love taking some cool pics with their own letter board. (Click on image to purchase on Amazon)
Hand Lettering:
Hand lettering is seriously the new journaling. It is such a beautiful talent to showcase in any form or expression you would like. Whether for bible journaling, bullet journaling, for your chalk boards, or creating projects. It is a hobby plenty of artistic people are taking on and doing very well with. This is something I would love to learn to do this year. Thankfully there is a beginners guide for it. (This series also offers a intermediate level guide).
CleverMade Snap Basket:
I just found CleverMade on Instagram and immediately thought of how many times us mom want those trusty totes that are sturdy, easy to store, and to look classy to take anywhere. This perfectly met the description. Very reasonable pricing too! Check out their products on Amazon:
Kitchen Gift Set:
I found this gift set on Amazon and fell in love with the floral design. These are all items we moms need in our kitchen and it is perfect to pair up with the next gift idea! (Click on image to purchase on Amazon)
Recipe Box:
My daughter recently asked me where all my mothers baking recipes were stored. I responded proudly, “They are all in her head”. Unfortunately, my daughters look told me she did not like that answer… She has been developing a passion for baking just like my mother and wants a central place she could learn recipes from when grandma is not over baking side by side with her. So, it didn’t surprise me much when she requested a recipe box that she could work on with grandma. I think this is a great idea for all of us to do with our mothers and grandmothers so it can all be passed down for generations. (Click images to purchase)
Extra idea: Have your mother handwrite her favorite recipe on a index card to display in a frame to hang in your kitchen. It gives a sentimental and farmhouse touch to your kitchen.
The Magnolia Journal:
Last fall a friend of mine sent me a copy of The Magnolia Journal. Since then I have ordered a year subscription for only $20!! The journal is only of the best quality. It is like reading a heavy duty book that is full of gorgeous, and I do mean gorgeous photography, easy home décor ideas, and the best recipes. I made three out five recipes from the fall journal for our Christmas gathering. Each recipes was simple, elegant, and very affordable to make. I promise you, if your mom is a Chip and Joanne fan, then she will love you even more for this gift!

Bullet Journaling is something I have recently been getting into. There is so many fun pieces to add to the activity but it can become costly. Getting pens, pencils, planning sheets and other craft pieces for a bullet journal junkie is perfect.

Vision board for you and your Mom:
A few years ago I got to travel to Europe. I met my mother to spend time in Paris then traveled through to Florence. It was a trip I never dreamt of. My mother was traveling for three weeks prior to meeting up with me. She had visited 14 countries in twenty three days. A vision she had for years. Through the ten days of traveling with and without her my vision for my life grew and I learned so much of her visions for the future. It was a intimate time as mother and daughter.
Collaborate with your mother, find out her goals. Talk to her about her dreams and passions. What are her favorite quotes that inspire her? After gathering all her input, surprise her with a vision board just for you and her as mother and daughter.
Complete a list of tasks as a gift to mom:
I was recently writing down a To Do list for the home and for the family. It consist things such as: clean out the laundry room, clean and organize the junk drawers, clean the refrigerator, wash the car, and go to hardware store to make extra house keys for the kids. I looked at the list and thought, if only someone could do this for me. These are all things that we, as moms would like to be done for the home but can add so much time to the already heavy load we carry daily as moms, so it usually gets pushed back. This is perfect way to recognize your mothers time and effort by surprising her with all the things she has hinted that needs to be done for the home.
Favorite Picture reenactment:
This is one of my favorites I see on social media. Adult children reenacting a picture from their childhood.
Not sure about the dynamics in your family but this is something my family would probably be having so much and laughter over for years to come.
Reenact a favorite childhood picture that you mom loves. Put both pictures side by side in a picture frame for her. This is sure to bring back many memories and tears of laughter and joy!
Take Family Photos:
You may have thought of this as a gift already because truth be told….. every mother has ‘family photos’ on their wish lists; especially ones that are not consistent with taking family photos through out the year (guilty here!).
It doesn’t have to be with a professional. Go to a park or favorite place in the city and just start snapping photos of you and your siblings together. Download to the Costco, Sam’s Club, or Walmart imaging center and print.
Add to photo frames or a photo album and wrap up beautifully for mom.
30 Days of Affirmations personalized for your Mom:
This is a perfect way to express all your love for your mom in written words. Imagine her reading through each card that has a note from you filled with encouragement, reasons why you love her, and of special memories between you two. Get creative. Either personally create yours or order affirmation cards that you can personalize. (Click image to purchase affirmation cards).
