Recently my youngest son, which of whom is only 7 months old now has had several surgeries. You can read part of his story here. We have been in and out of specialists offices and hospitals since he was one month old.
We also have a thirteen year old daughter who is experiencing a lot of new exciting things and getting ready for high school, an active two year old daughter, and an adventurous nine year old son.
Needless to say, my heart has felt some heartbreak recently. Not being able to fulfill all the needs of each child during this time of my sons medical needs has been hard.
To go even deeper into this, my heart has felt burdensome from not being able to feel awake some days, feeling like I’m not putting my part into the home, and just not being able to feel a minute of solitude. The moment I feel like this could be my moment to have alone time, I then remember what I had pushed back on one of my kids because I had to help the other, so I then get back up and go to the next child that had a previous need or request.

1. From the end of the earth, I will call to You when my heart is faint
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2
The enemy has seen this as an open door. There has been creeping of thoughts of: “Why am I doing this? Am I really supposed to be a stay at home mom? Why does my son have to experience what he has been experiencing?” But within my spirit I feel myself step back and look at the bigger picture.
If you truly allow God to let you look at all of this with spiritual eyes, you will be amazed by what you see! For instance; I get to see my son become a testimony; witness my oldest daughter grow into maturity as she took leadership as the eldest child. I watched my nine year become free through the storm and my two year old develop the love of worship as she joins me each day (through this season, worship music constantly playing in the house is a NEED right now!) What you will see is that there is a greater need and outcome than us.
2. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O’ my Soul.
Psalm 146:1
Sometimes we forget about all the other mothers and what they may go through; with their children that may have illnesses and disabilities with need of constant caregiving. Some have more children than 3 or 4 and that alone can be a big job, no matter the ages. Some are married to husbands that are not saved and raising children in the same home is a heartbreak and burden at times.
No one’s situation is greater than the other, just different struggles. As a mother, we should pray for other mothers. We know what it feels like in most situations. We can comprehend the exhaustion, the battles, the heartbreaks, the overcoming’s, and the joy.
Pray earnestly for all the other mothers to have gentle and peaceful hearts, to be revived, and to see the bigger picture. Pray the Lord reveals to them the gifts and testimonies that are within their children and how being a godly mother to them increases their crop. Its brings richness to the soil of their produce. Don’t just see your child having one gift but see them having a crop full of gifts and talents.
3. Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things you do not know.
Jeremiah 33:3
Pray that mothers will see all that God has for them to see in their children. As you pray for yourself and other moms, you will feel the burdens in the heart as a mother being lifted away. You will begin to see how the enemy can no longer make us feel we are not enough for such a task. You will be rejuvenated and revived to do what God has called you to do as a mother.
As you see those changes in yourself through prayer, find confidence that the other mothers you prayed for are feeling changes too. Through all of that you will see the heart of a mother have freedom! Post a prayer in the comment box below for mothers or leave a prayer request for mothers.

Father God, thank you for every mother you have entrusted to guide your children. Father, we understand they do not belong to us, but to you. You have made no mistake in which child was gifted to which mother. Let us not grow weary in doing good. Let us look unto the hills which cometh our help. Help us to call upon the Holy Spirit that dwells within us. Activate wisdom and patience with the daily demands of life. Let us not forgot that there are other mothers we can reach out to. If nothing else, but to be a listening ear. You have provided earthly ears and surrounded us with Godly hearts and spirits that share similiar struggles. Let us not focus so much on our situations that we are blinded from seeing these earthly angels. Allow us to decrease so that you may increase. Because when you increase your love prevails above all thoughts, emotions, and actions. Thank you for the transformation that will happen in each home because of your Word shared through this beautiful mother. Lord provide for each woman what is needed according to your riches in glory. In the Mighty Name of Jesus…Amen

Lord, thank you for this Godly mother and her generosity to share her story and her heart with the world in order to share You. It has helped me have a new outlook today on my calling as a SAHM. Bless her and her family.
