Whoo hoo… we made it another year fellow Bloggers. Another year to write, another year to build ministry, and another year to define and complete all that God is using us for.
2018 is a year of “Victory” for me.
Yup, “Victory” was the word He gave me. Sounds exciting and like there is a lot to come right…? Well, although I know there is a lot to come and anytime it comes from Him, it is a definitely a blessing but the Lord gave me “Victory” because there is a lot I need to overcome.
He showed me, every small step I take to overcoming will be transformed into one BIG leap of Victory. I need to receive those small steps as a victory not as a step not being big enough to completing the task.
This is where I am most hard on myself…. I make myself believe that because I don’t overcome something in one step that I am still too many steps behind from overcoming.
Instead God wants me to see that I am one more step closer to Victory!
Has God given you a word for 2018?
On another note….for Salt & Light Link Up… we as a team is sadden to say Shannon Guerin is no longer part of the link up. She is taking the Lord’s guidance to start the year off with 100 days to be completely off of social media. We are so proud of her to taking God’s leading and we are so excited to see what God will be doing with her the next 100 days and for any plans He has for afterwards.
Please give her lots of love for this transition. I know this was a hard decision for her but we all know this is God taking her to a place she needs to be for herself and the her readers of her blog; ShannonGeurin.com
Love you Shannon and love what you are doing for the Lord!! xoxo

Hello! I got all excited to be apart of this, but I cannot get the image to show up right in my blog post when I try to add it as html. Any thoughts?

Hello Nicole, so sorry for the technical difficulties. Unfortunately we have been having issues with this. The best advice I can give for right now is that you can link back to the Link Up at the end of your post or copy and past the image to add to your post or side bar.

Wow, quite a word Victory. I love it. I haven’t quite come up with my word. God and I are working on it. Happy New Year!

One step closer to Victory. What a beautiful way to frame things, Carmen. I hope to carry that thought with me as well. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t do a word for the year, but a phrase. My phrase this year is “Point to Jesus.” I want to be intentional in living in a way that points others to Him.
[email protected] says
Amen! Love that Heather! I have seen many with that being their intention this year. I believe there are many of us in accordance to that this year and God will show up in a big way by being obedient to it.
Michele Morin says
Thanks for the update on Shannon. I want to be more intentional in my approach to social media in 2018 as well.
Blessings to you as you persevere in victory!

Thank you Morin for linking up! I keep hearing the words “more intentional”. I’m thinking there is a lot of accordance going on….. =)

I love your word for 2018. So full if promise and excitement. Your 2017, especially close to the end, held so many challenges. But even then, you displayed great strength and courage. Dear sister, I stand with you in prayer and will cheer you on through each VICTORY of 2018. He is faithful to complete it!!!
